A Partnership That Connects: EnviTec Biogas and Awite in Technical Exchange
On 6 August 2026, we were delighted to welcome our partners from EnviTec Biogas Anlagenbau GmbH & Co. KG for a tour of our production facilities and an in-depth technical exchange. The discussions focused on project engineering, commissioning, quality management and purchasing – the very areas that have shaped our successful collaboration over the years.
The partnership between EnviTec Biogas and Awite began in 2021. The first orders for projects in the USA followed in 2022, requiring specialised technical solutions to meet specific regulatory and standards-related requirements. Since then, what began with a handful of joint projects has developed into a steadily growing partnership.
To date, we have successfully completed 40 projects together, not only in the USA but also in Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden and Spain, among other countries.
A key focus of our collaboration is sophisticated measurement technology delivered as an all-in-one solution. Our technology is used, among other applications, for the continuous measurement and monitoring of biomethane and off-gas streams, as well as for intermittent measurements in activated carbon desulphurisation systems and within membrane systems. SIL 1-capable O₂ monitoring for raw gas measurement is another essential requirement.
However, a successful partnership means more to us than technical solutions and jointly completed projects. What truly brings EnviTec Biogas and Awite together is a relationship built on mutual respect and equal footing: open, direct and continuous communication, short decision-making channels, and a shared commitment to finding the best possible solutions, even for the most demanding challenges.
The visit on 6 August once again demonstrated just how valuable this personal exchange is. We look forward to further strengthening our existing partnership and tackling new projects and challenges together.

A heart-warming success story: 10 years of German-Spanish friendship
In 2026, we are celebrating a special anniversary: 10 years of close partnership with Awite Technologies Iberia (a subsidiary of the Spanish technology provider ARCES specialising in Awite equipment)! What began as a joint search for innovative solutions has now become a success story that unites us both – professionally and personally.
It all began when our partner – then still operating under the name Alkia – stood with us in front of a CHP whilst searching for a flow meter and a precise CH₄ measurement system for biogas. We found a common ground, and this collaboration has grown into more than just a business relationship. Joint events, inspiring evenings and even sailing trips have brought us closer together.
Today, Awite Technologies Iberia manages well over 100 projects in Spain and Portugal and, thanks to its expertise and commitment, has also won over customers in other countries: from Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Latvia, France and the Dominican Republic right through to Senegal.
Juanjo Cortés, who has been at the helm of Awite Technologies Iberia for over three years, is the indispensable linchpin in all of this. With great enthusiasm and motivation, he is not only responsible for business development but is also the first point of contact on site for our clients regarding technical support and commissioning. His more than 15 years of experience in the fields of industrial equipment and renewable energy provide the ideal foundation for this.

New Awite Partner in Chile: AyT Ambiente y Tecnología Ltda.
Since August 2026, Awite has been working with AyT Ambiente y Tecnología Ltda. as a distribution partner in Chile. Through this partnership, Awite is expanding its local presence and strengthening customer support in the fields of biogas, biomethane, and other process gas measurement applications, such as wastewater treatment plants and landfill sites.
AyT Ambiente y Tecnología Ltda. is one of Chile’s leading providers of environmental monitoring and emissions measurement solutions, with more than 30 years of experience in the design and implementation of monitoring systems. A particular highlight is the company’s ISO 17025-accredited calibration laboratory, which was the first of its kind in Chile and Latin America to be accredited for the calibration of gas analyzers.
By combining AyT’s extensive local expertise with our analytical solutions for renewable gases, customers benefit from competent local support and reliable measurement technology for demanding on-site applications. We look forward to supporting customers in Chile together with the AyT team and to further expanding our cooperation in the years to come.
Awite takes a stand for biogas
Last Friday, we joined forces in Berlin to speak up for biogas and renewable energy. We answered the call of the German Renewable Energy Federation (BEE) and joined 8,000 other demonstrators to send a strong message.
Representing the 436,000 people employed in the renewable energy sector, we marched around the Reichstag.
We call for the current amendment to the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG 2027) to be revised in line with the motto “Renewable, indispensable!”
The expansion of renewable energy must not be held back by additional obstacles. We need fair market conditions and a strong domestic market in Germany. Only then can our renewable energy technologies continue to develop and succeed as exports worldwide.
At the same time, renewable energy creates value and secures jobs in Germany while reducing our dependence on fossil fuels.
The resources that need to be allocated wisely are the billions of euros Germany spends each year on subsidising and importing fossil fuels. If these funds are invested in Germany’s energy infrastructure instead, we can achieve a great deal together.
These are the cornerstones of a well-considered energy and economic policy that prepares us for the challenges of our time in a lasting, sustainable and fair way.
